My study programme

I personally feel that the Preschool teacher career is one of the most important careers at a social level, since we are training future adults and future members of society.

The career that I am studying is in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Chile. The infrastructure is shabby without any improvement, so it looks like a sad and boring place, really. There are at least two rooms that are intended for the career, the "CREA" room and the "Psychomotor" room. 

This career has subjects that talk about psychology, neuroscience, emotional development, types of evaluation and things from the hidden curriculum. An example of this are the following subjects: Child health and care, Curriculum and didactics, Pedagogical knowledge of psychomotricity, Analysis of evaluative processes. The university has the vision of an educator as a researcher, so subjects that promote that are also worked on. For example: Philosophy and epistemology, Research methodology, Educational research.

At present, the great advance that technology has had is greatly appreciated, since it is easier to organize and order things, as well as to implement good didactic material. From my own experience I have been able to demonstrate how important technology is for this career, I had to create an educational project, where I worked a lot on creativity but needed additional help, and the computer, the programs and the printer were a great help. It was favorable to be able to carry out the pedagogical activity that I had proposed to the children, so its use is wonderful to complement the activities that one wants to develop.
